It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our good friend and board member Christopher Thompson. Chris was one of the most passionate and community driven people we have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He could light up a room and would change the tone of a board meeting in an instant with his infectious spirit. We would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to his family, his fiancee Lesley, and his newborn son Angus. Knowing Chris helped make us all better people and our hearts are broken over his passing. The community has lost a great leader and visionary but his legacy will remain. In order to keep his legacy alive and to spread his message and honor his life the Strong Roots Charitable Foundation will be establishing a Christopher Thompson Memorial Scholarship Fund. We look forward to working with his family and Lesley on this, ensuring that his memory is honored and helping those just starting on their professional and educational journeys. Rest in Love Chris we will miss you greatly.
