It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our good friend and board member Christopher Thompson. Chris was one of the most passionate and community driven people we have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He could light up a room and would change the tone of a board meeting in an instant with his infectious spirit. We would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to his family, his fiancee Lesley, and his newborn son Angus. Knowing Chris helped make us all better people and our hearts are broken over his passing. The community has lost a great leader and visionary but his legacy will remain. Strong Roots Greenhouse Holds Ribbon Cutting for 2017 Season
AKWESASNE — It’s official, the Spring growing season is here and the Strong Roots Charitable Foundation kicked it off with a ribbon cutting ceremony today, marking the opening of the Strong Roots Greenhouse.
